DBS/POSB Video Teller Machines (VTMs) Project was awarded the Branch Innovation of the Year (Gold) in the 12th “Asian Banking and Finance Awards 2017”.
On 13th July, the event drew over 260 banking and insurance executives from 30 countries attended the Asian Banking and Finance Awards 2017 which held at the Shangri-La Singapore. DBS/POSB stands out with groundbreaking Video Teller Machines to provide the amazing self-service despite the various challenges the banks are facing.
The bank, with its innovative solution provider GRGBanking, launched the first batch of VTMs in Singapore last April across nine locations. With the GRGBanking VTM, customer can apply for debit cards, perform balance enquiries and money transfer, as well as obtain internet banking token on the spot. And they have the option to receive virtual teller assistance via live-video streaming.
Jeremy Soo, managing director and head of consumer banking group at DBS Bank, says that aside from the convenience of virtual assistance, their new VTMs provide convenience through round-the-clock branch banking services. Customer service officers are available as an option via live-video daily from 8:30am to midnight.
